I found this to be a very engaging series suitable for anyone in the third grade and up. An added bonus is the large spacing between the sentences that helps readers stay on track when reading. Compared to the other books in the series, we found that we had to read a lot longer before we could get to the exciting parts. The previous books were faster paced. We still enjoyed this book.

Great book for the younger generation, and even for us older ones. Great read, great fun!
The Red King Series (both the Children of the Red King and the Chronicles of the Red King) by Jenny Nimmo is a must read for anyone that enjoys a well written story.
Good read, fun, Harry Potterlike.
